Asda, Morrisons and Tesco stores covering areas such as Peterhead, Portlethen, Stonehaven, Banchory, Fraserburg, Inverurie, Carnoustie in Scotland.

What they asked for:

We were tasked with promoting Johnston Press's newly re-branded local newspapers in the far flung reaching of Scotland including the Inverurie Herald and Fraserburg Herald with exceptional sales trained promotional staff.

What we did:

First off IE had to recruit a team of proficient promotional sales staff who were able to interact with the public, distribute discount vouchers, explain the change in newspaper layout and ultimately encourage on the day sales with a view to full time subscription. 

Our booking team hit the ground running and with the client brief got straight to work interviewing our promotional sales staff based within Aberdeenshire and the surrounding areas who fit the criteria we were looking for.  We had to ensure that the team we sent out were both store approved from all of the supermarkets involved and were from a strong sales background.  

Thanks to our vast database of versatile and professional staff members, we were able to staff each and every location, providing those required for 14 staffing days.  Staff members were fully briefed and interviewed beforehand which helped them succeed in their job roles of promoting the newspaper, alerting the public to layout changes as well as selling newspapers with a view to full time subscription.

Outcome:

Johnston Press were delighted with the teams provided and overwhelmed by the upturn in both on the day sales and the increase in subscriptions.  Just going to show no matter where in the UK, IE can provide the best promotional staff for any job required.
